Orthophotomap

An orthophotomap is an aerial or satellite image that is processed (orthorectified) to remove geometric inaccuracies created when the image was taken.

An orthophoto is widely used as an underlay in cartographic materials and map compositions in GIS Systems.

In Poland an orthophoreomap is available for free:

  1. in the form of source files to be downloaded from geoportal.gov.pl
  2. in the form of WMS also from geoportal.gov.pl and other similar services
