Grouping layers

It is possible to create layer groups in the Layer List. The purpose of the groups is to make viewing the data more convenient.

Mode of action:
  1. In the list of layers, click the “Add group” icon.
  2. Enter a name for the group in the pop-up window.
  3. A new empty group appears in the panel. By holding down the left mouse button after clicking on the group name, it is possible to move the group up/down the list.
  4. Similarly, holding down the left mouse button, click on the selected layer and drag it into the group. The layer moved into the group will be displayed in a distinctive way, i.e. with an offset.

By grouping layers, you can quickly display or deactivate the visibility of grouped layers and organise data.
